Amber

The Baltic Sea amber
is fossilized tree resin back
from 40 m years ago.
It has been known and valued
as a decoration gemstone
for 13 thousand years.

It can be found in various colors,
the most popular being
yellowish-orange. Less popular colors
are yellow, honey, white, green and gray.

The gemstones sometimes contain
inclusions (water & gas bubbles,
insects, or pieces of bark)
which give them special character.
